From Internship to Growth Thinking

This experience marks the beginning of my journey into digital growth and performance marketing.

During my studies at Thomas More University, I joined Nightborn as a Digital Marketing Intern, where I worked closely with David and Maxim. They played a key role in guiding me and helping me develop hands-on skills in a real business environment. Nightborn, being a tech-driven company, significantly strengthened my interest in digital marketing, especially in how technology, content, and growth systems work together. During my 4-month internship, I collaborated with a cross-functional team including designers, marketers, and developers, which gave me a broader understanding of how digital products and marketing strategies are built and executed.

Driving Growth Through Branding, CRM Automation & Lead Optimization

After my internship at Nightborn, I wanted to expand my experience by working in a different industry and applying my skills in a more hands on, real-world business environment.

I chose to position myself within the automotive industry, where I saw strong potential for growth through digital marketing and structured systems.

During this transition, I connected with a young startup founder behind AG Car Care. I took the initiative to support the business by building its marketing from the ground up from branding to performance marketing with the goal of positioning it competitively within the market.

+75% Revenue Growth in 3 Months

This is where my proactive and entrepreneurial mindset truly developed.

At this point, I decided to focus on solving a real, practical problem by identifying gaps within a specific industry and building a solution around it.

In collaboration with a digital marketing counterpart, we analyzed the salon industry in Belgium and identified key challenges, including limited digital presence, weak brand positioning, and a lack of convenient customer experiences.

Based on these insights, we set out to build something more dynamic combining convenience, strong branding, and a structured digital funnel. This is how Antwerpen Braider was created.

We built a landing page website as the main conversion funnel, used Meta Ads as a proof of concept to generate initial traction, expanded with Google Ads to scale reach, and implemented SEO strategies to drive long-term visibility and rankings across Belgium.

Supporting Content communication Through Digital Storytelling

This internship marked my first real entry into the world of marketing and communications.

During my Bachelor’s program, I joined Rikolto, an organization focused on sustainable agriculture and global food systems.

This experience opened the door for me to understand how communication can be used not just to promote, but to create awareness, tell meaningful stories, and drive real impact.

Working within an NGO environment gave me a different perspective on marketing one focused on impact, storytelling, and community engagement rather than purely commercial performance.

I am currently developing a recruitment-focused strategy to position myself as a performance marketer who can generate, manage, and convert leads through structured CRM systems.

By investing my own resources just as companies do with marketing budgets I am building a portfolio website as a conversion funnel, capturing and organizing contacts within a CRM.

Through automated email workflows and lead nurturing systems, I am turning my job search into a real-world case study, demonstrating how I approach growth, automation, and measurable performance.
